Pastor Jonathan J. Nazanin was born in June of 1979 and raised in Tehran, Iran. In July of 1993, he along with his parents and younger sister moved to USA where his late father Reverand Joseph Nazanin was asked to lead the Persian congregation at North Hollywood First Assembly of God.
Pastor Jonathan is a licenced Assemblies of God minister, having completed his Bachelors in Christian Divinity through Christian Bible College and Seminary. He also has obtained his Masters in Christian Theology through ICI/Berean University and is a practicing Christian Counselling Therapist, acquiring his certificate from CBCS, Independence Missouri. He is currently in the process of completing his educational and ministrial experience required by the A/G General Council for his ordination.
Pastor Jonathan's growth in the ministry has been a true result of his parents' encouragement, in particular his father's mentorship. He began by playing the piano every Sunday to becoming the Youth Pastor for the Double Edge Youth Ministries at NHFA Persian Church and simultaneously leading worship at the West Valley Christian Center and Assembly of God Granada Hills Church for one and half years. In 2001, he became the Associate Pastor of NFHA Persian Church through the confirmation of Reverand Darrel Maston. In May of 2005 after the passing of Reverand Joseph Nazanin, Pastor Jonathan succeeded his father into the Senior Pastor position at the age of 26. He continues to lead the church ever since.
Pastor Jonathan and his wife Ketei have been married for just under 1 year and together serve the Lord faithfully at the CENTER in Granada Hills.
